Was Pakistan headed to the same fate as UK and Germany etc in 1999? thats why the comparison and that post 1999 efforts stopped the downward spirral that the country had been in.

If you want to evalute Musharraf, look at Lebnon, Afghanistan, Iran and Palestine and see how better we are than those countries. Pakistan was heading towards the same fate when Musharraf came to power in '99
