Re: Musharraf and the Housewife
ok i read about half of that article and i think this housewife is full of it. President's military secretary calling some middle class housewife to tell her about her husband??? if u think thats wot musharrafs secrataries do on a daily basis, maybe u gotta go live in pakistan for a while. the guy disappeared and it HAD to be the military on personal orders from the president. was this husband of hers some bigshot that the president had to take notice of him. A common MPA or MNA in our country can get rid of a hundrad opponants without anyone so much as having a clue of wot happened to them. There are so many people who could've kidnapped this dude. I mean come on... dont take any BS somone comes up with just caz u hate musharraf.
True, atleast I someone who has actually lived in Pakistan to know this.

That's exactly what I was thinking. There seemed to be no proof that her husband's abductions were even, in fact, abductions. They didn't even present solid recorded proof, nor did they have any witnesses that describe the disappearance.
Its sad that some loser-ville housewife really has nothing better to do than to blame the President, when for all we know, her husband might have ditched her and flew off to Hono-lu-lu.

What sort of comment is this? I expected better from you mr Fraudia.
Re: Musharraf and the Housewife
its true. people are suggesting that the guy was stripped by the cops. I have seen so many tussles where ppls pants fall off..or shalwaars fall, that i dont think that one can sa just on the basis of the dude's ants around is ankle that he was stripped. Which is the mantra that has become gospel for so many people.
and yes pants..and especially shalwats are more probe to falling if the dude has it tied under the toond because then it does not have much to rest on only thing preventing gravity or movement from pulling it down is the belt or azaarband.
Re: Musharraf and the Housewife
all of a sudden NYTimes has bandwidth to waste on Pakistan.. how benevolent of them..
Re: Musharraf and the Housewife
Hareem,
O religious wannabe.
I have a question for you. Do you choose to believe in the words of a NYTimes article written and videotaped by
darts eyes around in paranoid fashion
NON-MUSLIMS...
And you choose to believe what they say about a fellow muslim leader?
very confused
Isn't a BIG DEAL in Islam, that you never turn your back on another muslim? Or did that part of Islam escape your attention while you were too busy worrying about women in jeans?

oh man i almost fell off the chair when I read this! lol !!! and yes, they do fall off, this last time I encountered two taxi drivers fighting each other in the middle of the road blocking the traffic, and poori murree road pindi ke samney aik ki shalar fall off kar gayi and our pakistani bhai log who love a good tamashas gave them a nice round of applause! lol and yes, the gigantic TIDD (pot belly) was to blame (remmeber elastic pehnan chahiyeh)!
haleem... pappu yar tang na kar!
Re: Musharraf and the Housewife
Muslim leaders are hardly "fellows" of other muslims in any sense.
Whether the disappearance is by some secretary of President or not, a person is reported missing by his family. An investigation into it is JOB of state and whatever comes up in the investigation will then exonerate those who the woman is accusing now.
Re: Musharraf and the Housewife
Iconoclast, you're an intelligent man. Do you think that Musharraf receives a copy in his mailbox of every FIR cut in Pakistan?
If people are not doing their job properly (ex. police), and their supervisors aren't doing their job, and subsequently THEIR supervisors aren't doing their job...then that's not the President's fault. Imaan se. If you were the President, how would you realistically solve the problem? Fire everyone and rehire people? Who would you rehire? Then you have issues with rebellion, etc. So its easier to try and train them. So you tell your guys to tell their guys to tell their guys to not beat civilians and to do proper follow ups on FIR's. And then they still don't do their job. Then what do you do?
Being a leader is no easy thing. Its not just a leader who has to be corruption free and intelligent and savvy, but his team must also be the same way. Then those individuals have their subordinates they look after. In the end, you're talking about a mass problem where you need to start asking yourself...
Is the heart of the Pakistani person in the right place?
Re: Musharraf and the Housewife
When i went to medical school in Pakistan, the hostel of most prestigious medical college was half occupied by petty thugs and people who were not students. Corruption was rampant, beating of students by gangster wanna be students was norm, happened everyday. A student was killed by outsiders. It seemed no one could solve this problem. as the warden himslef was afraid.
Then came a man, Dr Ees Muhammad, humble person, who walked from his house to hospital, did not have a car, despite being a professor of internal medicine and he cleaned up the whole mess within few months.
If there is a will, things CAN imporove.
If President does not put bonafide criminals in his cabinet like Faisal Saleh and Sher Pao, and instead gets some honest people, he CAN enforce law and order.
Re: Musharraf and the Housewife
At the least we have to stop calling Musharaf our or anybody's president.
Re: Musharraf and the Housewife
There already have been many cases of the government denying that they kidnapped someone and lo and behold in the next few weeks, the same government releases that person or produces him in court. The government has no credibility and has lied too many times before for any person of reason to believe them.
Re: Musharraf and the Housewife
If you don’t want to call him President …then don’t …But we would…Kar lou jo karna hai..![]()

No, I'm not believing in NYtimes...............like I don't believe in what they say about Al-Qaeda.
I think Americans are going to do the same with Musharraf that they've done to Saddam.
Thats why I feel sorry for my fellow Muslim Leader.
May be that housewife and her family are fake like al-Qaeda and weapons of mass destruction.
