Re: Musarrat Misbah: A Big Fat Scam Artist
Pakistan is a country where government reluctantly provide any facilities to victimised girls who may have scared their faces and bodies due to acid-attacks, burns or other mishaps. Government could not do anything anyhow, because government consists of politicians like Bilal Khar s/o ex Punjab governor Mustafa Khar and other politicians who themselves kidnap, rape, murder, bury alive and throw acids on their female victims, so why should they care for these victims.
In such environment, if someone like Musarrat Misbah is raising money, mostly from outside Pakistan (not tax-payer money), and then providing some relief to these victimised girls then I think one have to appreciate her.
I am pretty sure that if the girl in above video had not approached Mussart Misbah then she would be having same scared face even today what she got after acid attack. It seems the girl in video believes that whatever got raised by Mussarrat Misbah showing her as example of ‘acid attack on women in Pakistan’ should be given to her to enjoy life, and now showing grudges, but she do not know that money raised is not hers. Only a small number of victims get advertised by people raising money (like Mussarrat Mirza), but whatever money is raised get used up on many victims (plus obviously, those raising money may be having their cut too, depending on them).
Mussarrat Misbah was not given this ‘appreciatable charitable work’ by anyone but took it herself and developed it into organisation. She is not asking taxpayer money from Pakistani government, but raised the money herself from various sources (mostly foreign). She does not nor she can stop others to take up similar work if they want to and have time and ability to do that, so if anyone thinks they can do the work better (or similar or even worse but with some results), like reporter of above video or girl and her father in video, than they can also start another organisation doing similar work, as no one is stopping them.
Meanwhile, I believe there is no reason to criticise Misbah or anyone doing such charitable work in Pakistan, as if these people under pressure of criticism stops their work, many needy would suffer ....... and there would be no alternative for them to find any comfort elsewhere (not even Pakistani government).
I think Pakistan government acknowledgement of her work by giving her award is quite appreciating. I only wish that Pakistan can have 100s of such people working for the betterment needy victims. ......... Obviously, Edhi stands at peak of all such people, but Misbah is one of those too.
PS: To Murfid: Brother, instead of getting upset with Misbah, I think you should start such organisation too. And if you become well-off on donated money, I won’t mind as long as you also have something to show, that you will need to raise money anyhow.
