Hey, does anyone have a video of this run-out from the first test between New Zealand and Sri Lanka?

he was basically going to congratulate sangakara on his century when the bails were taken off by the new zealand wicket-keeper…and he was given out!

That is just patheticly cheap from the new zealanders. Man, you think you've seen it all but no. And what the heck is that umpire doing walking down the towards the pitch. You'd think that the ball is dead and he also grounded his bat in while looking at the umpire. That is just so unsportsmanship like behaviour. I hope in the second test they get their butts kicked... Nice century again from Sangakarra and now Kiwis are 66/4.

^ NZ was never in my mind (and I am talking from the 90s forward) a really respectable side. Cheap players. Cheap acts when they used to be considered gods during the 92 wc...

Yup that was most unsportsmanlike. Since Murali did grind his bat NZ players should have had let them celebrate Sanga's century. Anyway SLA are in a pretty strong position in the second test (lead by 185 runs with 9 wickets remaining) and should win from here.

But it was pretty dumb on Murali's part too. he should have atleast checked with the umpires before leaving his crease. It's not a park mind you.

Yeah that was funny. Plus did you notice the umpire suggesting something with his hand while the keeper was taking the throw. Seems like he was suggesting to run out Murali quickly.

^ Go to 3:35 of this video and you can see Umpire is telling Murali to get back into the crease as he can be run out since the ball is not dead (not reached keeper's gloves yet).

Murali and desi cricketers in general needs to be educated on cricketing rules. WE just go with emotions. Jazbati desis jump on the gun too early.
