Required by whom ? Have you ever thought that many of those Muslims are showing their loyalty out of choice ? Why can Muslims not be loyal to India ? Or does that not fit with your "separate homeland for Muslims" theory ?
And people who consider Muslims (or other groups traitors) will do that irrespective of all that. An average Muslim is far safer than India than in Pak, and more so if he is Shia, Ahmedi, Ismaili or Bohra.
Out of choice? lol.... I am not going to pay attention to ayen bayn shayen, I just pointed out a fact which many Indian Muslims have told me.

Discrimination is in subcontinental blood. Regardless of religion, all subcontinental communities including muslims love to discriminate based on prejudicial preferences, caste system, class differences and i would say it is a direct result of living with Hinduism for thousand of years. Hindusim does not hide it and makes it clear that the society needs to be arranged based on caste system.
discrimination is so deep into our dna that today if we create another country of muslims within pakistan where only Punjabis live, we will start discriminating based on who is rajout, jatt, arain etc. if we then create another country where only rajput muslims live, we will then start discriminating who is kharal rajpt, bhatti rajput, minhas rapjut etc.

I have no doubt Indian media exaggerates about Pak, just as Pak media exaggerates the "plight" of Indian Muslims.
One needs to look at this in perspective. Look at the population of Muslims in India, and then look at the number of case where there is discrimination, communal violence etc.
Discrimination is there even in Pak against Muslims (Ahmedis, Shias etc). And even Hindus are discriminated against in India on the basis of caste, region etc. This problem is not specific to Indian Muslims.
Jack, i have interacted with many many indian muslims over the years and i feel that they become extremely defensive on this topic when talking to Pakistanis.
My take is that indian muslims somehow feel that *"you buggers pakistanis, you left us behind in india and we hoped till 1971 that you will protect us by having a strong pakistan but you never really did anything for us, always looked down upon us as your weaker and poorer cousins and then ended up breaking your own country in the mean process in 71, so you know what we are good on our own..hell with you guys, you cannot protect yourslef, how the hell will you ever protect us "
*that is why i always feel that indian muslims when in discussion with Pakistanis will defend their situation in india so vigorously and passionately..they will try to prove that abu kalam azad was right and partition was a disaster and that indian muslims are doing great. I never entertain those discussions as i know these are more on an emotional basis and less on academic merit.
but when indian mulisms are talking to themselves within their own communities, the discussion will be more real discussing problems that Indian muslims are facing in india.

I saw their website a few weeks ago. The idea seems nice but I didn’t like the feel of the site. Perhaps it was bad design but it felt like they are more concerned with getting “donations” than their stated objectives.
Don’t get me wrong, but honestly that’s how I felt going through their website. Someone who knows more about the project can inform me better I guess.
