Murali or Warnie

whos better
Muralitharan
or
Shane Warne

i will go with murali…and shane warne is an okay bowler…no where close to murali…2nd best spinner ever has been saqi…

murali is definitely the best spinner on the planet! Thankfully ICC got some sense into their heads (finally!) . Now, he will not face any more embarassing situations (hopefully) :)

yah man...we can only hope....cuz ICC....ka koi aitebaar nahin..baithe baithe kisi pe bhi ilzaam laga dete hain....cuz c y did they put malik under suspection...its all propaganda.....trying to mess up asians

i think both are the same level...its like comparing wasim and waqar or ambrose....one is left handed the other right.....
murali is an off-spinner and warne a leg spinner...and it is a known fact that leg spin is a much more difficult art to master...

both are best, you cannot compare a leggie with an off spinner, if i had to pick world test eleven i would have both of em .............

Thats definetly a tough one. But as somesaid you cant really compare a legspinner with an offspinner.
Shane Warne has alot of class and has single handedly managed to rescue the dying art of leg spin. I say dying coz no one thought it could play an active role in modern one day cricket. At the same time Murli has can turn the ball on any surface .. be it glass ! and has extraordinary control over line and length.

Both are great players in their respective category; Leg-spin/ off-spin.

However Warnie was always backed by great fielding and in contrast Murli had to back up his bowling on his own mostly and again since he was from South Asia and Aussies had no answer to his class act they played the mind games. "Choker."
And leg spin is not a dying art, you need to visit the domestic matches and the talent there, and Yes PCB is not great since they are only clouded by pinidi express replacement, and batsman.
Since woolmer took charge of Pakistan cricket team did you see any new inclusion of the spinner to the probables? Nah!

nope...i dont agree on that.......leg spin is much easier...but ofcourse harder to play.....anyone can bowl offspin..thats right....but it won't be as powerful as ones leg spin..u have to be good at off spin to have it work for you....little looseness causes BIG trouble!!

no but what if u had to choose only one!!!!!!!!

i think murali is a better bowler because even with so many controvrsies surrounding him, he has taken 500 some wickets. also he is younger than warne and is gonna end up with more wickets

leg spin is more difficult....plz anybody and eveybody know that...its harder to master legspin coz the wrist turns over and its difficult to land it in the right spot.
and as for the cooment that if an offspinner bowls a little loose it can be gotten away for runs...well thats true for any bowler..fast or slow

Warne is better because he took so many wickets amidst tremendous competition for wickets in a team and he had to share his wickets with Mcgrath, Mcdermott and other genuine and consistent wicket-takers.

Whereas Murali would bowl 45 overs in a day and take 6 out of seven wickets to fall just because there was never a consistent wicket-taker bowling from the other end. Murali would still have reached 500 wickets but in double the number of tests had SL got another genuine wicket-taker (No offense to vaas but he is a pressure bowler)

Re: Murali or Warnie

warnie ofcourse coz murali bowls so much like half the overs but warns balls with all top class aussi bowlers
