It was on TV, and I just caught the later half of the movie… I’ve seen it a couple of times before already, but it’s such a good movie – Amitabh’s acting never seizes to amaze me.
As Sikandar, Amitabh kinda represents that heart-broken man which has been a part of many of our lives at one point or another. His monologues reveal his feelings so perfectly well and the audience is yet again reminded of why he has been a super-star personality throughout the late 70s’ and the 80s’. This is yet another movie which carries the aura of his invincibility – then… and even now… unsurpassed! :k:
The movie also stars Vinod Khanna, Rakhi, Rekha and AMjad Khan, and has amazing songs like O Sathi Re… Tere Bina bhi Kya Jeena, Salaam-e-Ishq, Rote Hue Aate heiN Subb etc.
Along with Falak (starring Jackie Shroff), this is an all-time favorite movie in the “Dard” genre. :k:
homer… Gardish is in fact an excellent movie… if you haven’t seen Falak, then I highly recommend it - its a little hard to find, but if you liked Gardish, then you’ll love this one.
Ok i liked both the movies.
from gardish amrish poori changed its image from bad guy to a character artist.
on the same lines, angaar is another nice movie. imdb has given it 9.7/10.
not sure. But I remember in the climax AB is riding a horse and chasing the bad guys and it changes from day to night to day within 2 minutes hehe I’ve watched too many movies so don’t remember their names anymore
