Not sure. Probably learned it at the place where my sis and i used to learn saparah reading at. It was some buzurg haafiz-e-Quran in town. Very well respected, Allah unhe jannat main jagah den. People used to call him chacha ji and so we did too. His wife and one bahu used to pray with the girls. And on ibaadat ki raaten, all women in our house would pay together. I don’t remember any one on one’s with ammi or daadi ammi unless that happened when I was very small.

I asked it as normally its in mother tongue because its your elders (one of family members) who teaches you niyyat, etc.
