Not worried about who is supporting them. Just concerned about the twisted mentality of our people.
On Facebook, Sharmeen pe gali galoch ka silsila shroo ho gaya hai, that she is badnaam karoing our country through her documentaries, but murderer is being hailed as a hero. Doob merne ka maqaam hai
Its an overall mentality. Yesterday, I asked my friend at office that aaj 2 treat bunti hain... One about Qadri and one about Sharmeen. A colleague came and say 'phansi nahin chaRhate, umr qaid de dete. aakhiar namoos e risalat ka mamla tha.. hamari buniyad hai namoos e risaalat'. My friend said 'Be very careful for demanding any treat. This is not one guy. There are many'. Till evening, I found that most of people were not appreciating Qadri's execution and were coming with statements like 'hamen kia pata ke kon sahi hai. Qayamat ke din kia munh dikhaen ge agar wo sahi nikla and all that.'. One of my assistant said 'aap bhi samaoson ki treat mangne se phele soch lo. Kuch logon ko unki saza duniya main milti hai'. I said 'haan mil rahi hai na, tumhare jaisa assistant paa kar'.
Then came another group 'Sharmeen ko Oscar de dia. Edhi ko kiyun nahin dia'. I was 'O mere bhai, Edhi konsi movies banata hai?'. They were 'Nobel to bunta hai'. I was 'Malala ko mile to you people say its conspiracy against Islam and Pakistan and then you are vying same for great person like Edhi. You respect him, I respect.. Its more than Nobel'.

Bhai dehaan say...aaj tu mujh per bhi toheen ka ilzaam lagnay wala tha...only i was at my farm and accusers were not as strong as my family...
But still i was made to leave by my elders to diffuse the situation..
Aleem din kon? You mean Alam Din. BTW, there used to be a trend on making movies for such personalities. Ghazi Alam Din’s story was dramatised by PTV and I think Toqeer Nasir played the role. He told an interview that it was a great experience while shooting on original locations. Then a movie was made in lollywood where Momar Rana played Ghazi.

why is the government so helpless stop iste'aal angez bayaanaat/taqaareer from religious and /or political leaders. they are spraying high octane petrol on the burning fire of sectarian divide.

They keep on discussing this today and finally I said 'Tum logon ko Alisha Chinoy ke fuzool gaane pasand hai, aur mujhe Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy ki documentaries.. Pasand apni apni'.
Proud that the govt finally mustered some courage, and hanged this evil monster. May it send out a clear message to all those who would try something similar in the future.
These ppl are nuts. I'm in Pindi right now and went to Saddar mid-day right after his funeral. Hordes of green turbans and beards... screaming and whatnot. For the first time in my life, thru numerous visits to Pakistan, i actually felt afraid. I had my son with me too and it was just frightening.
The jahaalat and ignorance of the ppl is mind-boggling. Someone mentioned separaton of Church and State... the problem is Pakistan's basis of creation was a land for Muslims, "Pakistan ka matlab kya.... la ilaha ilallah". Logically we should have a gvmt based in Sharia (Indonesia/Iran/Malaysia etc)... however, our genius politicians have created a demented hybrid of secular and religious values in the Pakistani Constitution (of which there are like 3 btw). Religiously or secularly.... whicever way u look at it, Qadri was wrong. But moulvi mentality always wins. And ppl are unwilling to listen. I commented on a YouTube video and like 5 ppl started calling me a Qadiani/kaafir/ etc etc. Like.. it's nuts.
Allah hidayat de humari jaahil aur bewaqoof qoum ko.
The last sentence of the article highlights the thought process of the nation
Toqeer Nasir filmed all the scenes after having performed his ablutions (bawazo ho kar
Khair wo to Samina Peerzda ne Umera Ahmed ke ek serial 'Shehr Zaat' main naani ka role bhi ba-wazoo kia tha and according to her 'Khuda ne qabooliyat farmai'. lols

How was it religiously wrong?
(not saying it was right, but this is the first time I'm reading that religiously it was wrong, so would love to hear the justification)

Religion does not allow taking law in your hand. Fitna is the biggest sin, if we go by strict interpretation of a verse in Quarn. When you allow anyone to take a decision (decision as important as to take live of a person), then it will lead deterioration of law and order (which is what fitna is). Now this is my interpretation and I don't know whether religious scholars will interpret the same. But I don't come across any statement by a religious scholar, who appreciated execution of Qadri since yesterday, so most probably, this is not interpreted as such.
Now I asked my boss yesterday that Naamoos e Risalat law is there for quite a period (may be it was introduced during Zia / Bhutto regime), many people have been booked for blasphemy charges and I don't remember any person was convicted and punished under the law. My boss was of the view that probably, there was one conviction under blasphemy law. Guess who? (Chand pe jis ki tasweer aai? nahin yaar its not Altaf Bhai.. Its Gohar Shahi). I said but a law is there, many wants its strict implementation, but no execution by law enforcing authorities? why? because its the mob which decide such cases, not the authorities. Thats why Taseer called it 'Black Law' and thats how Qadri became hero for the mob.

You mean Qadri's act? Because in an Islamic state (that is another argument if Pakistan is indeed an Islamic state), only chief justice (qazi ul quzzaq) can pass the judgment and order the execution. Normal citizen does not have a right to play judge, jury or executioner
@S_Punk ek general baat kar raha hun, aisi bheed dekh ajeeb lagne jaisi koi baat nahi hai. Ye political-cum-religious bheed hai. Ye apko lagbhag har desh me dekhne ko mil jaegi. Par gour karne waali baat ye hai ke hum log (aisi bheed aur hum sab log) bachcho ko school bhejne ka abhiyan chalane jaise muddo par kam hi ikkatthe hote hain. Haal hi mai ek thread kholi gai thi jisme bachchho ko school bhejne jaise mudde par achchhi bahas ho sakti thi par hamara rujhaan na ke barabar raha. Hum us bahas mai hamari kya jimmedariya honi chahiye, apni aur se kya koshishen karni chahiye, kaaran-nivaaran sab par bahas kar sakte the.
