Mumtaz, better known as Dara Singh’s heroin, is Bollywood’s super-actress of yesteryear who rose from low-budget category of movies to the blockbuster movies. she rose from lowest paid actress category to the highest paid category.
she jas great movies to her credit like Do Raste, Sawan Kii Ghata, Ram Aur Shyam, Mere Sanam etc. at one time, 80% of ALL theaters in ALL the Indian Metropolis were showing her movies alone.
initially, she worked in low-budget and ‘maar dhaaR waali’ movies starring against mostly Dara Singh [like of Maula Jutt] then she got a lucky break after which she worked with ALL of the male superstars like Dilip Kumar, Dev Anand, Manoj Kumar, Rajendra Kumar, Raj Kumar, Raj Kapoor, Rajesh Khanna, Dharmendra etc.
she married Mayur Wadhwani and moved to the US. she is now living her life comfortably and happily with her husband and children. one of her sons did a movie in Bollywwod in which she played his real mom. that was her last movie.
