Alright, if your a parent you automatically qualify in this category.
Do you have ‘main’ job or responsibility along with a second ‘job’ or responsibility? I was at local bank talking to two business representatives and they both were working three jobs. Seeing it was Sunday, I asked them if they had any free time with everything that was going on and they said that they didn’t see much of their friends/family.
Besides the day job, I am working on a venture on the side and have a small consulting project. i was pretty impressed that these two younger girls were doing the same thing - trying manage priorities.
So what are you doing right now and how do you manage your time?
pak-one, at one point, I was working from home, almost full time with multiple projects on contract as well as managing the home and a little child. Now, I only take on a few freelance projects in addition to my 2 kids and their activities. Also, I volunteer at the school, teach at an Islamic school 3 days a week, develop their monthy newsletter, and am involved in some serious community development programs locally, not to mention taking care of my home and gupshup :D
It's fun. I feel productive and happy. It's all about figuring out your priorities and working with a calender, learning to differentiate between the urgent and the important and making good decisions. My husband and I are on the same page. We fill in for each other and work together. No complaints.
However, most of my undertakings are personal choices for they haven't been thrust upon me. In some families, working 2 or more jobs stems from a necessity and that could be tiring and/or frustrating. So my situation is different.
