Read somewhere a Hadees which says that a Muslim, whose dastarkhwan always have not more than one dish will be sent to paradise.
I don’t think this is followed in any of the Muslim country now.
We heard from elders that in their childhood, people used to have lunch by having subh ki roti with lassi or piyaz.
So who promoted multiple culture within a century?
Is it increase in wealth / prosperity that lead to change in eating habits or people improved metabolism across the globe?

I agree with the restaurant part from charpai hotels to Pizza Hut, its all occupied. You just can't get a free table at run-of-the mil Nihari shops.

Whay does that have to do with the hadees ? You can order one dish or twenty dishes.
Normally, when you go for eating out at restaurants, most of time you can't limit yourselves to one dish. If its simply biryani shop, then you will order for sweet dish (kheer or zarda) with cold drink.
I think I kinda remember where I heard it. It was probably tafseer of Surah e Bani Israel by Dr Israr Ahmed.

Well i understand, but do qoute it here, just for have ilm, i am asking, rest i don't know about others but Alhamdulilah we still prefer one dish one time usually, ziada se ziada dal k sath sabzi aisa hojaye warna tu one dish is enough for one time, i was saying k ab dastarkhuwana wala wakt raha he kahan tu isliye logon ko adat nhi rahi ho shayd sk dish ki.
