Re: Multicolor Facial Skin =(

Vitamin C can do wonders. I've invested crazy amounts on expensive vitamin C serums till I realized my stupidity. Making a Vitamin C serum is the easiest thing in the world (no kidding). So to give you a little background. Vitamin C or Ascorbic Acid Serums are very unstable and are usually come in dark bottles to prevent oxidation, In addition they have stabilizers added to them. The easiest way to make a fresh batch of ascorbic acid is to get the following ingredients:
1. Pure Vitamin C powder (Don't crush vitamin C pills as they contain binding agents). You can get these from any pharmacy or food store. My cousin was telling me that color collection (in lahore) is selling this.
2. Glycerin
3. water

Mix 1/4 tsp powder in 1 tsp of water (or more) or until it dissolves. mix in enough glycerin to make a serum. apply on face before going to bed and Vola. If you google "DIY vitamin C serum", you'll have alot of sites pop up with their own recipes. I've tried it and LOVE it. use it every day and the patchy areas will get lighter. Tried and tested my friend!!! nature at it's best

Re: Multicolor Facial Skin =(

or if you don't wanna go the nature route, just get a chemical peel :p

Re: Multicolor Facial Skin =(

btw I was also planning on getting Clinique's 123 routine but i saw such bad reviews on makeupalley.. I am having doubts. I am considering Laura Mercier's new cleansing system, but that costs around $150( if you get all the products), so I am not sure...

Re: Multicolor Facial Skin =(

**Thanks I'll try the juice and powder one.

@ dooree, I'm using Clinique's 123 routine for about 8 months, my skin is a little better then before but hasnt got big changes. **

Hey there,

Dont waste your money on products they dont work! Ive tried them all. Go see a good dermatologist. There is this new peel that has come out from US its called a "Silkpeel" it is amazing! Its like getting dermabrasion put without the effects. Go on the website. They wont let me post it because i need at least 25 posts. But google silkpeel and you'll get the info. They have 3 different peels i think the one your looking for is the Lumixyl solution - expensive but in the long run worth it. I got the acne one because i was always breaking out in acne and this is the first peel that has ever worked. You may need 2 to 3 peels only depending on how dark your face is but look into it. I just started getting these peels 4 weeks ago. You can only get the peel done every two weeks. So far im happy and my face looks brighter and refreshed.

Re: Multicolor Facial Skin =(

Re: Multicolor Facial Skin =(

*Yea I just stopped using clinique. Things have gone worse since I stopped using Clinique (i've got looooooooots of pimples) and I have seen a dermatologist, he said that I have a severe acnee and he gave me some medicines ( acnee treatment ) and a cream. *

Hi everyone,

First of all dont drink too many glasses of carrot juice a day your skin will turn orange - from experience - trust me!

As far as the prices go for the silk peel every dermatologist will have different fees. High demand/high prices. My dermatologist charges me $180.00 for the acne peel. If you go with the Lumixyl peel which improves the appearance of discoloration, he charges $250!! per peel it went up $20.00 in two weeks. I'll get another acne peel and then a lumixyl one just to get rid of the blemishes and uneven skin tone. First time i got my peel i broke out in acne. After two weeks i went back and got another peel and all my acne disappeared. She said its got a lot to do with hormones, stress.

By the way, sidra0092, I had the same problem. To give you some advise, only because its worked for me as i have tried cream after cream that my dermatologist kept giving me. The dermatologist office sell a product that is called Clenziderm. It probably the best product you'll ever use for acne. for the first few weeks your acne will get worse but after that it will disappear. They have one for oily skin and one for dry. Google clenziderm, cant post the website, and do some research. Also keep taking the pills the dermatologist gives you. It takes months to see results. If after 3 months you dont see results go back and he'll try something else. Thats all they can do because they dont know whats causing acne in you.

Goog Luck!

Re: Multicolor Facial Skin =(

Re: Multicolor Facial Skin =(

Aww sweetheart, don't stress. You just need to find out what's right for you and give it some time.

I used to have the same problem; pimples popping up every other day, uneven skin...but I used Clinique's 3 step. On top of that, I made a home-made mask which consisted of besan, lemon juice and haldi (paste). I was applying this once/ twice a week and mA my skin has never been so clear.

You have a very oily skin, which can be cause by a combination of factors. Start from the inside; start eating and drinking more healthy. Then continue to use the creams your dermatologist has prescribed you. And use any of the homemade/ natural remedies that have been suggested. The key is to stick at it and be patient. If you keep changing products/ habits, you're not really going to see any possitive results.

All the best my love! :)

Re: Multicolor Facial Skin =(

**Thanks :hugz:
Should I use equal amount of these ?

And Yup It’s been 3 months n have a pimple once in two weeks.
I stopped using all kind of liquid soaps. N Wash my face with pure water now

Re: Multicolor Facial Skin =(

Normally for me; one table spoon of besan, a pinch of haldi (not too much or you will end up like The Simpson's) and enough lemon juice to make a paste, is enough to cover my face.

Instead of just washing your face with water, use besan on it's own. Just mix it with a tiny bit of water, so that it's in a consistency easy to apply on your face. Besan is really good for soaking up oils, which is what you want.

Make sure you still moisturise though (an oil-free one) because all this oil stripping can make you dry.
