I’ve recently been reading up on the performance of hajj and umrah and I came across this a Hadith in which it mentions those who embrace this area are guaranteed an answer to their supplications . I will post Hadith later however which place is this exactly please if anybody can upload and circle it in a clear pic…and how easy would it be for a woman to acces this privileged place during a rush? From the pics I’ve seen the place looks mobbed with men only
Re: Multazim
Allah knows your efforts. I think He'd reward you for the fact that you wanted to do it so badly but couldn't.
Re: Multazim
which area is "multazim" is it between the kabah door, and black stone area, or the hijr ismaeel?
Here are two hadith that relate to the matter, but as with anything else I am further confused on which to believe and what to extract from here, please someone simplify this for me?
***Al-Multazim is the part of Ka'bah between its door and the Black Stone. After drinking the water of Zamzam, it is recommended that one should make special supplications at Al-Multazim. Ibn 'Abbas reported that he used to stand between the Black Stone corner and the Ka'bah door and said, "The space between the Black Stone and the door of the Ka'bah is called 'AlMultazim' and whoever stands here and supplicates to Allah, he gives him whatever he supplicates for." (Al-Baihaqi) ***
**'Amr bin Shu'aib reported from his father, and he from his father that he said, "I have seen the Prophet (peace be upon him) placing his face and chest against Al-Multazim." **
**(Some scholars including Bukhari say Al-Hateem is Al-Multazim. To support their view they cite the hadith of the Night Journey in which the Prophet (peace be upon him) said "While I was asleep in (the area called) ' al-Hateem" or also called "al-Hijr...") **
**This is based on the statement of Ibn 'Umar in which he said "I never saw the Prophet (peace be upon him) touching any other parts of Ka'bah except the two corners: The Black Stone and the Yemeni corner." And he added, "No matter how hard and difficult the circumstances, I have not failed to touch these two corners - the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone - ever since I saw the Prophet (peace be upon him) doing so." (Reported by Bukhari and Muslim) **

After clicking on these links click the images again to get full resolutions …

In the first link you see the hands on Bab-e-Ka’ba these are actually touching part of the multazim it stretches from the foot of the door to the left touching the metal frame around the hijr-e-aswad.
In the second picture you can’t see muqam e ibraheem it is supposed to be around where the arrowhead is where it states the word “tavaf”
…
It is easy to pinpoint this location all you do is go to the muqam-e-ibraheem which is the single column structure standing in front of the door of the kaabah. Face the kabah and keep the muqam-e-ibraheem to your right shoulder -which means you are standing to the left of it … Angle yourself now so that you walk with the kabah door to your right side and the hijr-al-aswad to you left side the wall you walk towards is the al-multazim …
If you look on the floor as you walk towards that area you will see a round black circle of tiles and some writing … that place marks the site of the zam zam well … the ancient well outlet is directly below that location.
Re: Multazim
Oh thanks so it is not the Al-hateem area as suggested by some scholars? Is Al-Baihaqi a reliable source of information in terms of hadith collection.

multazim comes from the word iltizam which means to "cling" - It is obvious from my first link where the clinging is taking place ...
Umm Salamah (ra) the wife of the Prophet (saas) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (saas) said:
‘Disorder will occur at the death of a successor. A man of the people of Medina will flee forth to Mecca. (But) Some of the people of Mecca will bring him out (from where he is) and swear allegiance to him against his will between the Corner (in Kaaba) and the Station of Abraham.
Also note that Al-Baihaqi reported that Ibn Abbas said, compare this to:
**(Some scholars including Bukhari say Al-Hateem is Al-Multazim. To support their view they cite the hadith of the Night Journey in which the Prophet (peace be upon him) said "While I was asleep in (the area called) ' al-Hateem" or also called "al-Hijr...") **
Which is a commentary - not a hadith and the commentary is not stated by a name - the unknown commentator is claiming it is Imam Bukhari's opinion that the Hateem is Al-Multazim yet there is no complete reference to show that ... besides it clearly states "some" not "most" ... for sure this is the weaker opinion.
Go with the first one ... Al-Multazim is the wall next to hijr-al-aswad upto an including the footstone of the door of the kabah.
Re: Multazim
Ohh thanks for clarifying all this I guess I just needed guidance. Had to distangle commentary from hadith.
