Muthahida Shehri Mahaz staged a rally in Multan to show solidarity with Pak army.
The rally was organised to protest the attack on naval base in Karachi. The protesters set flags of different countries on fire. They said foreign secret agencies are playing their role to weaken the country’s defence but people stood with Pak army to foil the attempts of miscreants.
The protesters demanded the government to strengthen ties with China. They announced to stage rallies to back the Pak army on Friday.
Re: Multan: Protesters show solidarity with Pak army
exactly!!! we need to be one voice ... this reminds of world cup phase ... if everybody can be united for cricket ... then y cant we get united for this one cause??
Re: Multan: Protesters show solidarity with Pak army
Solidarity is good but misguided angst is counter-productive. What was the need to burn any country's flag? It is this exact mind-numbing tribalism that has gotten Pakistan in this mess to begin with.
Also, China is not a saint. They have been exceptionally friendly to Pakistan, no doubt, but everyone has their own interest in mind. In 20 years time, if China determines that it is in their best interest to ditch Pakistan, they will do it without giving it a second thought.

Good move. If several thousands can come out for the mourning of Osama bytch Laden .. then why not several millions for our own Army.
If thousands people come out to mourning for Osama they know they wont be a target of any suicide bommber, They Rally supporting army does not have such confidence on suicide bombers.
