Mullahs, Aids, sex and condoms

no worries Nadz :flower2: i didnt realise hwo serious the issue of HepC was until i went back recently and found out how many people are sufferering from it..

like AIDs, people are not very well taught about HepC either.. it really is a huge problem. Especially when its being passed from spouse to spouse.. i think, why arent these people being told of precautions and risks.. i know the medication is quite dear.. but it exists and even if they cant afford it, there are many ways they can take care of themselves and family members

while i was there ealier this year, my mamoos had hep C and i think B (not sure) immunizations all over Gujranwala and Sialkot.. they had differnt stations set up all over the two cities.. but i think not even 500 people came to get immunised… really sad

Dear Sir

I responded to him in the same manner that he had used to once again mess up a thread by his flame baits. You are right though, I should not lower myself to such pathetic level.

Can I request that mods remove and edit such posts as by Mrs Yogi so others do not have to deal with the pathetic nature of certain one-track mind members. It would be highly appreciated.

Yups… I think the name was AAJ or something :konfused:

Simpley Love him

**Nadia… ** Tnx for Ur appreciation.

Quite a bold statement from a Minister, I thought it would add to the discussion.

Many maulvis involved in child abuse: minister
http://www.dailytimes.com.pk/default.asp?page=story_8-12-2004_pg1_9

The Religious Affairs Ministry has received reports confirming sexual abuse of students by several maulvis (clerics) and supervisors of seminaries, said Dr Aamir Liaqat Hussain, the state religious affairs minister.

Dr Hussain said this during a speech at the launching ceremony of an information-kit ‘Role of Religious Leaders in HIV/AIDS Prevention’ on Tuesday.

The minister urged clerics to educate masses and create public awareness about HIV/AID. “The religious leaders must think beyond praying five times a day,” said Dr Hussain. He said some clerics might be spreading HIV/AIDS by sexually abusing their students. He added that he had witnessed an incident where a cleric abused a student during a raid at a Karachi seminary. The seminary was later sealed, he said. The National AIDS Control Programme (NACP) has prepared the info-kit in collaboration with UNICEF. NACP had involved and trained over 200 religious leaders across the country while preparing the kit.

Admitting that discussing sex education was taboo in the feudal and traditional Pakistani society, the minister said these “so-called taboos” had been openly discussed in the Holy Quran. Dr Hussain urged religious leaders to break the barrier and warn the people about the hazards of HIV/AIDS. He said the info-kit would become useless without the active involvement of religious leaders as most Pakistanis were illiterate.

Sadly this is what the culture of orthodox Islam or any religion promotes in closed schools.
