I’m perusing through some news stories tonight and came across one that mentioned how Mullah Omar injured his eye during the Soviet War and now has one functional intact eye. First thing that popped into my head was “Dajjal”. Then I said, eh, superstitious PCG, lets do a google search, surely you’re not the first quack to come up with that association.
Now, look I don’t know much about Mullah Omar, other than that he is the biggest quack of us all based on his tamashay in Afghanistan. But I got to reading about what little we know of him and there are just some CREEPY similarities to what is predicted regarding the Dajjal.
He is one eyed.
Dajjal will supposedly fool even the better of the believers into thinking he has divine connections with God, and that many muslims scholars will fall into allegiance with him.
He will create a great amount of fitna. I mean just look at South Asia today.
Not sure of this, but many say he will be of Jewish descent - which never made a whole lot of sense to me…given the other indicators of the Dajjal. Nonetheless, Mullah Omar is supposedly of Afghani Pushtun background and there is a theory that the current peoples of the mountainous regions of Afghanistan and Pakistan may be old Israelite tribes that wandered too far from home and lost their way - lost tribes of Israel.
He goes by the title of Amir-ul-Mumineen (?), the same title used for the Prophet SAW. In fact, here’s whats the creepiest thing of all. When he took Kabul, he went into some barricaded shrine where he got his hands on some old cloak that supposedly belonged to the Prophet, donned it on himself, and appeared on a balcony to people in Kabul, at which point people either submitted themselves to him or crapped in their pants and took the first bike ride out of Kabul.
I don’t know. I’m probably conspiracy mongering here, and I feel like being paranoid, but who knows??

tum jaisay log, jo sirf 2-3 line parrh ke khud ko aalim samajhnay lag jaatay hain, na sirf khud gumraah hotay hain saath doosron ko bhee gumraah kartay hain....
Where have you been for so long? It is very commendable for you to be thinking with caution about who the Dajjal might be. As far as I understand the one-eyed Dajjal will be naturally like that not from the falls in war ... and that is not the only description ...
Both his eyes will be denatured ... one will be like a film has covered it and the other will be like a protruding grape and he will be partially sighted in one of his eyes.
He will specifically emerge from Khurasan in Iran and he will be from the Jewish tribes there. The hadith are quite specific about this.
Again keep this information to mind and it may be a life saver Allahu'Alim
If on the day of judgment it is proven that he is not Dajjal, then first I would have to hand over a lot of my good deeds to him (or take his bad deeds) for calling him Dajjal, because only justice would prevail on that day. Secondly, he might be given the right to grab me from my neck for trying to disgrace him without having full knowledge.
Same goes for other people. Only Allah (Swt) is the Judge. If I try to judge people and disgrace them without having full knowledge about them (and their intentions), then I am worst than Dajjal.
Even if a person knows bush, osama, mullah...etc. are bad people, the prophet (saw) only emphasized on struggling for a better cause instead of wasting time in criticizing / ridiculing / abusing,....etc. these people, because he himself never did / said anything like that for Abu-Jehel.
