great column by rauf exposing our bigotry … last weeks were a bit depressing reading so many pakistani columnists writing columns saying all good things about this mullah omar. we pakistanis will never learn lesson. god knows what do we want. for us afghan taliban are still good taliban who are doing jihad against eveil usa. nothing will change that narrative…how i wish these good afghan taliban one day take over pakistan and implement their sharia on us !

He was hero to kinds of Orya Maqbool Jan, Hameed Gul... they try to portray him next to Khulfa-e-Rashideen... and next best thing after Khilafaah...
need not to say... i strongly disagree here... Mulla Omer... let thousands of Pakistani killed by the TTP, were TTP had its secure centers in Afghanistan, where as per these, no one can live with Mulla's blessings... so can i say that Mulla Omer is responsible of the killings of Pakistanies???
That article of Orya Maqbool Jan also had another lie ( to my knowledge, i think there are more lies ) about Taliban accepting Durand Line as border.... it is not true and Mulla Omer kept the same Afghan stance and set his Muslimhood on sleep on this issue...

Mullah Umar is a factious charterer created by ISI in the late eighties to lead Taliban, like Friedrich Nietzsche who created Superman. Since Mullah Umar's warranty had expired, he had become irrelevant hence he was declared dead many years ago. If OBL could be taken out, had Mullah Umar a real person he would have been killed by a drone a long time ago.
Hamari laanat yeah kai har qatil, agar oos kee Darhi ho, to woh hamara hero bun jata hai ... be it Mullah Omar, Mumtaz Qadri, Abdul Rashid Ghazi or OBL.

Some afghans do consider him as a fictitious character, his life and death all are suspicious. He was not around for more than two years and his organisation was still being run in his name.

Anyways there are no good and bad Taliban, it's only the perspective with which we look at them which makes them good or bad for us.

Important for our army top brass to understand this lesson. phir agar koi such issues discuss karta hey woh ghaddar ho jata hey. Mulk half ho gaya in sumajhdaar foji generals or unke paltoo dum hilane walee politicians ki wajah seee.
I was thinking that after APS incident they will learn . But it seems they will never learn. Future is of economic war not the war on ground.
