well done to the Americans if the news is true, they have eliminated another enemy of theirs. Due to our nonsensical counter terrorism policy our enemies are safe and sound even after the loss of thousands and more than 8 years of continuous warfare.

Just today Pakistan Army had asked the government to consider the truce offer by TTP, and one leader who was considered to be pro Pakistan has been taken off the radar. Uncle Sam ko maan gayay!!

Uncle Sam has eliminated many of its enemies, where as our army has not succeeded in capturing any high profile terrorist. :(

Not a good news, he was pro pakistani and was very near to break away from TTP due to recent attack on him. People like him and Hafiz gul bahadur have been main factors involved in effective operations against oppressors in afghanistan.

Even if it is true (which it is....no mention of the 2 others who were killed in the same strike, likely his family members) what difference would it make to a rag tag geurilla group, which has no unified command, and works under localized commands? Initially it was said that if Mullah Umar or Usama bin laden is taken out, Alqaeda will be gone. Both have been out of the picture for a very long time. Usama is even dead now, yet the group still thrives.
Not in a million years can they change the ideological mindset of a group of guerilla fighters by using military force. These days, the fight is just about getting terrorism out of your country, and transferring it to another. As reported in NY times the other day, the mountains of Mali are the new breeding ground for terrorists.
America is going to be out of Afghanistan soon. But they will leave behind a legacy as bad as that of the Soviets.

Could be pssible, though trakcing mullah nazir was easier as he was not wanted by pakistani forces and hence could be easily identified by americans.
but, one thing that is worrying is that the drone attacks are endorsed by pakistano forces as well (that is what i think i read some where) and then we allowed killing him

At the end of the day US have got their man. TTP will also benefit as they will try to get complete hold of SWA now, as before it was held by them alongwith Mullah Nazir group.

Nightmare scenario for Pakistan is that US gets Hafiz Gul Bahadur, and Gul Bahadur, Nazeer and TTP join forces against Pakistan.

It is high time that IK should accept the above fact and stop supporting these killers against drones attacks. These killers are no friend to any one including IK.

Its amazing some people in past have taken a stance that a taleban is a taleban as in a cockroach is a cockroach and now that one is gone the sentiment has been changed to a "pro pakistani taliban" just because the cockroach got killed in a strike by US?

He was an enemy of the US, and so as far as the Americans are concerned, it doesnt matter how he regarded the state of Pakistan.
