You know regardless of what is the policy of establishment of Pakistan, double/single game usa, china, india, iran whatever, end of the day i strongly believe Taliban/Al-Qaeda/Hizb ut-Tahrir & their ideology is kind a anesthesia for the state of Pakistan, period.
Tribals of N/S Waziristan were always independent, they fight to remain so in last 60 years so just for the sake of argument do we have any kind a control in our so called FATA? The answer is "no".
States always negotiate on her own terms, otherwise the very existence of state doesn't matter.

If that is so, then why doesnt the govt (or some other party) call another APC, or heck, even a press conference will do…and make a statement saying that they rescind their vote to negotiate with the taliban, as done in the last APC. Why dont all parties that are now making tabloid statements against PTI come out and state their opposition to negotiations, and voice support for drones/military operations openly, and say that we will not condemn any drone attacks, as they are productive tools?
All our public is looking for is the truth from the govt, rather than the current tomfoolery they are engaged in.

He is supposed to be higher than that..and that gives the govt the license to be lower and lower than that. If the govt doesnt have the guts to tell the public the truth, then it doesnt deserve respect. The dharna from what I can see, is not a mistake. It has had limited impact on the nato supplies, as most of the trucks go through chaman, but at the very least it sends a strong message, a tangible one at that.
Our governments, on the other hand, have for the past 8+ years been repeating the same recorded statement over and over...'drones are against our sovereignty'...and then go back to licking their master's shoes. In a situation like this, how does anyone ever expect Pakistan to progress in any way at all?

They have the ability, but they are probably told not to. Our govt cant make up its mind one way or another. Pressure is on from the US, as they want to continue their presence in the region beyond 2014, and are facing opposition from within Pakistan, and Afghanistan.
Good news though, that the US has halted all NATO shipments through Pakistan on its own, owing to the sit-ins. No thanks to our govt.
