you know what janwar, I may not agree the whole situation was held.

But get this, how many rape victim come out that strong in pakistan?
Not many!
She still is a living night mare for a person who want/wish to abuse women.

She is still my hero. I bought her book too. But didn't read it. I know there wasn't any thing in the book which I already didn't know.
Only new thing was how she did not let guilt/shame overcome her desire to fight back.
Very remarkable.

Minister accused of pressurising Mukhtar Mai to drop charges
Staff Report

ISLAMABAD: Mukhtar Mai Women Welfare Organisation (MMWWO) Chairwoman Mukhtar Mai on Friday alleged that Federal Defence Production Minister Abdul Qayyum Jatoi was using his influence to affect the outcome of her case pending in the Supreme Court.

Speaking at a news conference, Mai said Jatoi had called her uncle to his house in Jatoi in December 2008.

“The minister told my uncle, Ghulam Hussain, that I should drop the charges against the perpetrators of the Mastoi tribe, who were either involved in the verdict of panchayat (council of elders) against me or gang raped me,” she said.

Aah you didnt get me, I didnt imply that she is a fake or that she is the one going commercial. Without doubt she is a hero and has stood up for a great cause.

Its the people around her who are 'encashing' her. She is emotionally devastated and is least interested in these international trips, movies, documentaries and other b*****ng. It is sad but people are taking advantage of her. Less is being done for the cause that she represents and more for personal gains. About her, she is a strong woman, but her psychological and physical health is a mess. Her 'guardians' are more interested in the gains they can make out of her.
