I wish my fiance proposed to me, but his parents brought the rishta to my parents....even though we knew each other from before. Basically he called me one day and said "I want us to talk to our parents about getting married" and I said "are you sure the time is right?" and he said "yes, I dont want to wait anymore", and then we talked to our parents, and they met a few times, and got to know each other, and then it was finalized. No proposal....although I keep telling my fiance that I need a proposal before I will say "yes" at the nikkah!

We were very young and not ready for marriage (because both were still in school) when he said, “So, we’re getting married, right?”
I told him to repropose properly when it was all official, but he refused.
