ghazal, I do not currently recall if there is a word in urdu or not as mostly light house is the word itself used in literature, however, one of the dictionary just translates it into Roshni kaa minaar

no not really.the most nearest word that fits for light house i MANAAR which means guiding light.now the light house also provides guiding light to sailors.so in my opinion Manaar is the closests word

anwarji MINAAR and MANAAR r two separate words in udru.and words ka meaining useke kaam par diya jaata hai physical propert par base karke nahi.

shivangi, I never read manaar with a zabar on meem. It’s definitely not urdu.
