Mujai Neend Na Ayai Neend Na Ayai

:hehe:

My 15 month old son is recently giving me a really hard time getting to sleep at night or during day time naps on the weekends. The end result is a very frusterated mommy.

Ideally I want nap time and sleeping to be a secure and safe feeling for him but thats hard to do when I’m frusterated. Soemtimes it take over and hour or two to get him to sleep even if he is dosing in and out.

What can I do to help him sleep (aside from set a routine; I try that already)
and calm my own nerves. I hate being upset with him.

Thanks
MUNZ

Re: Mujai Neend Na Ayai Neend Na Ayai

put him on an automated rocking cradle...i guess!

Re: Mujai Neend Na Ayai Neend Na Ayai

no - he won't sit still and he's to old for that anyway.

Re: Mujai Neend Na Ayai Neend Na Ayai

Muniya, he may well be outgrowing the need for a nap. If it becomes that much of a struggle, let it go. Let him sleep a little earlier in the eve and see how it goes. Mine outgrew naps at about that age and forcing it just makes for a bad time for all.

oh ok...lemme know plz if u find any solution...it might help me some day lol ;)

Re: Mujai Neend Na Ayai Neend Na Ayai

does he want to cuddle? Like do you have to hold him, or does he need to feel your presence (hand holding, arm around him, etc.) in order to sleep? Where are you putting him to sleep? Does he stay in the crib by himself or do you lie down on the bed with him and let him fall asleep first before putting him in the crib?

Are his molars coming out? I hear they need extra TLC to sleep when those teeth are coming out.

I agree, don't force him to nap. Right now, my son (13 months) rarely takes any nap after 2:00 p.m. He sleeps through the night cause he wears himself out playing from 2:00 p.m. onwards.

Re: Mujai Neend Na Ayai Neend Na Ayai

I think that may be it - no naps then.
hmm

He is teething very painfully.
He does need to me to be around; he needs to touch skin not even my clothes. he'll dig his hand into my sleeve.

No naps at 15 months?
Dr recommends two short naps... :(

Re: Mujai Neend Na Ayai Neend Na Ayai

Watch his diet, cut down on his sugar intake like juices or stuff. That will only make him more active than neccessary

Re: Mujai Neend Na Ayai Neend Na Ayai

Try to have his naps in the afternoon from 12-2. No sleeping past the 3 p.m.

Try a soothing warm bath before he sleeps with lavendar.

Try calming activities 2 hour before bedtime.

Try no sugar after 6 p.m
