If you think United States spent $500 billion+, lost thousands of soldiers traveled half way across the world just to get 1 man and turn a poor country with nothing into even poorer country than nothing than you more naive than i thought.

This is a war of ideology and the target is much bigger than 1 guy in a cave wake and drink a cup of reality.

Of course, the purpose was multi-fold:

1. To bring destabilization in South Asia since it was a region which was threatening the industrial backbone of developed countries like France, Germany and USA. In order to ensure that no more factories get relocated to South Asia, a simple yet effective technique was to make sure that there was raging war there. The TTP arm of CIA even tried to instigate problems in xingiang province of China which China crushed.

2. USA itself along with the poison-minded New Dehli tried their best to break-off Balochistan from Pakistan by providing money, training and weapons to Baloch terrorist groups. This was to destroy Pakistan, the only muslim nuclear power and moreover to create an independent Balochistan from where the USA could keep a check on South Asian countries like China and Russia.

3. To try and enforce the age old redneck mentality that we are the most powerful and don’t mess with us

4. To create billions of dollars worth of profit for the US based arms manufacturing businesses.
