Though Islamically there is nothing that teacher needs to be apologetic about, what she should have understood was that ... Jahilon ke saat kistara chalna chehye hai.
An ignorant person is safe in a room full of learned people, but a learned person is not safe in a room full of ignorants. It is the learned persons responsibility to be tactful. That is her only blame.
The vast majority of the blame is on those ignorant people attempting to pass sentence on someone who deserves nothing but thanks for going to Sudan and teaching those children.
If I had a teddy I would name it Muhammad.
