Muhammad Ibn Harun Warraq

Ibn Warraq, a former Muslim who now lives in Ohio, has written various books to examine and analyze today’s Islam and it’s major principles. Has any one read his work?

I read “Why I am not a Muslim”. I expected a little better - it started out by taking a very winding road with the Rushdie affair, and slowly settled down to make a case against Islam. It doesn’t read as much more than a compilation of occidental work against Islam by “Orientalists”. However, it does introduce some interesting history that Muslims may not be aware of. Interesting stuff, though.

He is also the author of www.secularislam.org, which has come a long way in term of content in the last year.
