In this thread lets share some of your your favorite Mughal architecture, which remained dominant over sub-continent architecture for centuries and still have impact on today’s buildings.

Jali and Jharoka were used in Indian architect since centuries. Mughals introduce a variety in their use. Mughal buildings were more spacious and open compared to previous buildings in sub-continent. They always made buildings having different passages for air. This is the reason that you don’t feel suffocated in Mughal buildings.

Mughal architecture is also found in Lahore and other areas of Pakistan.

One of the other prominent factor is Mughal architecture is use of beautiful flower designs.

mughal architecture is also largely influenced by the use of symetry and decorative pieces and also the use of domes

I've done a project in Mughal architecture and its influences on my work in the second year of my course totally loved it and designer a house with two jharokas on either side as windows. I'll see if I can dig it out to share
