Muftis don’t have personal lives. They aren’t supposed to have twitter accounts, even if it’s to spread The Word to a larger audience. Especially to the youth, who clearly need it the most.
Because with the twitter account comes updates of your whereabouts… followed by stalking and judging/ making fun for absolutely no logical reason.

I just don’t understand the mind set of followers. He went to skydive.. He is liberal… Is this a valid reason in religion. His teaching and interpretation are bigger evidence of what he actually is…

I think what OP is trying to say is that laxity in views can’t be determined by a single act such as skydiving…neither can extremism be negated by a skydiving alone.
I have not listened to MM long enough to form an opinion as to whether he’s extreme or otherwise. However, I have been listening to his lecture series on the seerah of the Prophet SAWS and I have enjoyed it thus far. As far as skydiving is concerned…I would like to try it indoors; it sounds fun.

People will judge … Skydiving as a sport serves no other purpose than being “fun” … If by doing this he has been brought closer to Allah (SWT) then that is good for him.
If he had any trust in Allah, he would have jumped without his parachute.
