No Hammad Azam in ODI and no Sohaib Maqsood in either team. Still better than CT squad. It looks like Umar Akmal will be keeping in the T20 format and Mohammad Rizwan is the ODI Keeper. Haris Sohail is back, lets see him get some games in the middle at #4.

LAHORE: Pakistan team for the West-Indies tour has been announced by the selection committee here Wednesday at the Gaddafi Stadium during a press briefing by Iqbal Qasim.

All-rounder Shahid Afridi and Middle order batsmen Umer Akmal have been recalled in the team for the tour of West-Indies. Meanwhile left arm seamer Sohail Tanveer has been included in the T20 squad.

Shoaib Malik, Imran Farhat and Kamran Akmal have been dropped from the team.

Pakistan will play five ODIs and two T-20s during the tour.

Good news for Shahid Afridi fans he is back. On side note Shahid Afridi says he is still lot better than lots of players.... right.

The positive is, yes they kicked out the sifarshi players. But this quote from Misbah really annoyed me:

"Malik was the one who had been helping us out with six to seven overs and was handy with the bat as well so Afridi has been recalled in place of Malik as an extra allrounder who can roll his arm on turning tracks and contribute quick runs at No.7.

The bad news: As usual. No outside of the box thinking. Same status quo b.s. Hammad Azam not in ODI, Sohaib Maqsood, Sharjeel Khan, Fawad Alam.......
Whats the point of playing in domestic, if you perform you are ignored either way.

S. Tanvir again. Really, they want batting till the end so desperately I guess. Wahab and Tanvir will most likely be going through cycles in these ODIs. Junaid should be with the new ball.

Good news regarding all those who have been dropped and umar Akmal coming back. Hopefully he will use his brain when batting and do justice to his talent.

Bad news afridi and Tanvir are back.

i guarantee you Pak will not win even one match while chasing >200 again any top 6 teams ....zero finisher in this game...come yell at me and embarrass me if they do! while malik played pathetic in CT and rightly dropped, he at least helped us winning at least 4 ODIs/t20s in chasing and literally finished those matches...afridi/misbah are not finishers.....

nothing to celebrate....problem is that our bench is so pathetic that there is nothing out there.......they have freakin 4-5 left hand bowlers in there...no diversity? no good spinner after ajmal? and the batting that is sitting on bench is equally unimpressive except haris sohail.... he needs a chance out there....

pak cricket future looks very dark, to be honest....it is getting exposed more and more with every series. Just read waqar's interview and it is looking awful. he was very bearish...

No one coming to Pakistani for at least 5 more years....the board desperately needs to send U19s to international tours........

Batting is our weak link but I am looking forward to seeing Shehzad (hope he does justice to his immense talent) and Jamshed opening in the ODIs

Hope Umar Akmal finally starts batting with responsibility. It is not only about talent at the highest level

Yeah the crunch player who hasnt taken a wicket for how long can anyone remember? What a crunch player, the only thing which is crunch about him is the ball crashing into the wicket when he is batting and the the crunch of the ball hitting the seats when he is bowling.
