The awliya are not interested in this world - that is a given … A shaykh will only request money from those in senior fellowship positions of those who have given him bayah and even then he will take the money and pass it on somewhere else … There are clear references against making the Deen a source of income and a true Shaykh or a Wali will NEVER make such a basic mistake. The one who does this you will find therein a sign of a charlatan.
