I’m getting married in March and need a makeup artist. My photgrapher is suggesting we go to Sobia’s for all the evnts but from what i’ve seen in pictures it seems that Sobia’s is only good at baraat day makeup, whereas their walima makeup is very underwhelming. Does anyone have experience with Sobia’s or any other MUA in this area? Also, my cousin last year went to the Depilex in Chaklala scheme 3 and we all vowed never to go there again, as they made us all look like overdecorated cakes.
Sobia's used to be great early on...but i find their work very inconsistent. Don't pick "senior" makeup artists... book with Sobia herself and u will probably be satisfied. I've tried a bunch of salons in Pindi...Jugnu's (book the dudes.. they do well, anyone else will make u atta-face), Sobia's, Depilex (Lahore and Pindi.. both suck), some place called Vanity... (they do good spa services but makeup is hideous)
For my BILs wedding i tried Moshaz .. they have a branch in Scheme 3 and in Bahria.... was blown away by their makeup + spa services. Their Bahria location mainly caters to makeup services.. it's gorgeous and ultra-clean and awesome. The Scheme 3 one is so good for facials but it was kinds gross.. the bathroom was creepy and the place generally felt out-dated. The bride from our fam was very young and Moshaz makeup thankfully made her look stunning, yet still sweet and young... it was so tastefully done, but not at all underwhelming. I would highly recommend Moshaz.

Hi, what kind of look are you looking for? I strongly recommend Saba shah at tariq ameens. You can visit her and discuss her the type of look you want but from what I know she dont have online pictures catalogues of her brides.

My hubby booked Nikhar for all 3 days... my mehndi and walima days make-up was very good (esp the mehndi) however, they messed up the baraat day and I went crazy (they put orange lipstick on me 1st and i told them to take it off) on top of that they have allot of nakhre and when you tell them that you dont like something or ask them to change it slightly, they look at you like you've just asked them to kill someone for you.

Just attended a wedding where the bride's barat makeup was done by Kami and I wouldn't recommend it at all. I haven't seen such heavy and ageing makeup in a long time. The bride was naturally pretty with clear skin but the foundation was soooo thick and her lip shape was changed entirely (she has full lips so it was really unnecessary). Everyone was really surprised... you don't even see that kind of makeup smaller cities any more.

Thanks for your feedback. i am really confused now because i heard mixed reviews about his makeup and mostly people say he is good. I am going to pakistan soon for my wedding and it sucks that we dont have any good makeup artist in rawalpindi/isb.

Check "Hermaine Khan in Isb" or Sadaf Farhan. They both have fb & instagram accounts. Do check with them & have a look at their work personally when u r in Isb/ rwp. Or go for Daniella's Salon :) .
