Did anybody watch this last night?
I was quite disappointed. The performances were mediocre and there just was not any excitement. Nobody really stood out or looked good. Beyonce looked awful. I know they were in Miami which is why so many people wore shorts, but come on. She should have worn a cute short skirt instead.
Actually, Alicia Keys looked amazing. She’s the only one who looked drop dead gorgeous.
Jessica Simpson’s performance was awful.
I liked P. Diddy's haircut, it was good to see him and Ma$e back together
I liked Kanye West's performance ... but there really wasn't any umpf througout the whole show.
I want to go to Miami.
it was awesome to see Chaka Khan on stage w Kanye West, I actually enjoyed Alica Keys performance the best..but this years was boring, no madonna and britney kiss this year :p

I quit after i saw jessica simpson in that ugly dress...arghhhhh.... it was just plain boring.. plus everythin about Votin... it sucked really bad...
5 years ago, this thread would have been 10 pages. MTV has lost any credibility or respectibility. They are like the WalMart of music now. Just terrible.
It started off pretty damn bad, Usher with lip-synching. Luda went straight from San Diego to Miami. He was in San Diego last weekend.

My two favorite performances were Kanye West and Alicia Keys. Probably Alicia because she might be my favorite performer right now, and Kanye because he brought Chaka Kahn out, even though she can't sing anywhere near as good as she used to.
The hot performance definitely goes to Terror Squad. "Lean Back" is the hottest track of the Summer!
Most surprising thing about these VMAs? The Bleeping. In the West Coast version (non-live, it was obvious this year wouldn't be live once they moved it to Sunday), words like "naked" or phrases like "bend over" were being bleeped out.
Big ups for Linkin Park and Maroon 5.

i feel like i'm outgrowing mtv, ironically becaus esome of hte things that are on, im tooyoung to be watching
