MSN Messenger questions

I haven’t used MSN messenger for a very long time and there are some people on my contact list that I don’t want to be in touch with or remind them that I still exist.

I have installed Versioin 8.1 and have a few questions:

  1. There is an option to login as “Appear Offline”. If that option is selected, does it mean that no one on my contact list will receive a notification that I have signed in?
  2. When I remove people from MSN will they receive any notification?
  3. If I block some of them and want to be in touch with them on as needed basis, will they know that I have blocked them?

there are ways to find out if someone has blocked u :D
so betta be careful

As to #3, I haven't come across any reliable utility that can detect status. Although, it can see how it can be discovered by blocked person from an un-blocked person.
