I have re-installed windows and now cant install msn messenger every time i try to install it i get this “theapllication has failed to start because WINHTTP.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem”
What does that mean? Ihave tried reinstalling and I have tried downloading from other sides but to no avail.
I have had similar problems when i download yahoo messenger, I keep getting a system error message that tells me to report it and when i report it, the program shuts down!! I have unitalled and and then re-installed it - no difference! Someone help!!!
thanks for that. im following the instructions butimnot getting the same options at no9,10 and 11
i can do upto no9 properly.
acording to the page you give me the 10th instruction is "
10.
In the End-User License Agreement dialog box, click to select the I accept the terms in the License Agreement option, and then click Next.
"
But i get "selectthe operation you wish to perform - modify, repair or remove - select one and then next - and the next thing i can do is just install, which it does and then i get finish
This means I cant do from number 10-13
and if i slectthe repair option from what comes upmy screen , it installs and i click finish then back to the command screen.
I can do no14 but at no15 when i type in "cd WINNT\System32" i get "This system cannot find the path specified" on the enxt line in the command box
and if i do no16 then it says current WINHTTP proxy settings under blahblah blah...
I tried to reinstall MSN but no luck...am i doing something wrong?
have done all the above but wheni try install windows live messenger i get this message "windows live porgrammes cannot be installed on Windows Server, Windows XP professional x64 edition, or Windows Operating systems earlier than Windows XP service Pack 2"
