Re: msn blocked

try web based messenger?

Re: msn blocked

Get a Yahoo id too so when msn is offline then you revert to yahoo.

just make sure all youor contacts have your yahoo id too. :-)

Re: msn blocked

check firewall, router, anitvirus settings....

or install hopster (software to bypass firewall)

Re: msn blocked

If (s)he doesn’t have administrator priveleges then (s)he’ll be unable to install anything or change settings :bummer:

Re: msn blocked

If (s)he (lol) can install msn then why not other programs?

Re: msn blocked

Ask h(im)(er) :rotfl: My intelligence only takes me so far :snooty:

Re: msn blocked

every friggin thing is blocked
can't access hopster coz its blocked.
all web based messengers are blocked.
i have privilages to install programs. give me more info about hopster. i'm thinking to d/l it from home and bring it to work and let the magic begin.

Re: msn blocked

just go to hopster website for more info. (hopster.com)

Re: msn blocked

ebuddy or e-buddy.com ..... web-based MSN. Thats the only solution if firewall doesn't support proxy. You can use MSN over proxy too. HTTP proxy is supported by MSN. If MSN software itself doesn't work, try Miranda or Trillian.

Re: msn blocked

The best way to do this is setup SSH and VNC servers at home then from work create an SSH tunnel to home and using VNC run anything you want on your home PC. Works like a charm, no sniffing and no more restrictions.

Re: msn blocked

Well issue is when even everything is blocked but port 80 & 443 overy proxy, then there is no choice but to use HTTP proxy for MSN (supported) or to use web based messengar.

VNC is a great option but not available in many circumstances.

Re: msn blocked

e-messenger.net

Re: msn blocked

mera tho parh kar sarh chakara raha hai.
:bummer:

Re: msn blocked

Thats all good and jolly.

I don’t think high-tech saab is in control of the network… SSH tunneling tou door ki baat hai. :hehe:

wesey bhi, you don’t need to create ssh tunnel, etc. in order to get into your machine at home (if its windows box). All you need is Remote Desktop but that still requires some knowledge of networking which high-tech seems to be lacking.:bummer:

VNC is great but not when Remote Desktop is available.

Re: msn blocked

Aah, but he does have control of his PC. Considering his handle is “high-tech” (s)he should catch up with networking knowledge. :stuck_out_tongue:

Re: msn blocked

BTW, SSH can be setup on any port, including the ones you mentioned. Nobody’d know the difference.
