MS Excel used to work fine for me; however, about a few months ago everytime I hit enter to go down to the next cell, it stays on the same cell. Therefore, I manually have to use the arrow key (pointing downwards) or the mouse to make it go down to the next cell.
How can I fix this?

Make sure your scroll lock isnt on, if it is turn it off.

It won't go to the next line irregardless of scroll lock key being turned on/off.
I'm assuming scroll lock would be when I see in MS Excel (bottom towards the right hand side) a key activated that says "SCRL".

Tools > Options > Edit tab
Do you see a check box labled "Move Selection ater Enter" ? (am using Excel 2003)
