MRP (Machine Readable Passport) and CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card) or NICOP (National Identity Card For Overseas Pakistanis) are issued after verifications of differents stages i.e. providing of domicile, birth, registration certificates but its was shocking what “The Sun newspaper” reported on Monday that it had infiltrated a crime ring offering false passports, visas and access to London 2012 as bogus support staff. It claimed to have uncovered a ring of corrupt Pakistani officials and travel staff conspiring with a prominent politician to bypass stringent security but the paper admitted that no visas were issued and that a passport was made only after a strikingly similar pictures was produced of one the people involved in the operation."
I think MRP and ID both were issued from separate departments and there is no chance if it is operated from one platform. MRP only issued in case if a person holds valid ID.
Do you think both MRP and NADRA is involved in it?
