You gotta be kidding. Isn't that what he called his fellow colored human beings in South Africa? Kaffer, a term which is equivalent to the "N" word.

Zapatista, while gandhi may have been very racist during his days in South Africa and actually not a peaceful person by any means, he did change for the better in his later years.
we cant discount who he became on account of what he was, that would be unfair, and neither can we sugarcoat what he was, because that too has a lesson..it goes to show that as humans we have tremendous capacity to improve.
