Mr. Jinnah's presidential address to the Constituent Assembly of Pakistan

Re: Mr. Jinnah's presidential address to the Constituent Assembly of Pakistan

What Jinnah did for us could not have been done by any Mullah or these so-called religious leaders of today who lack real education and suck big time. So we should n't be so thankless. I am all for moderation rather than secularism or too much religiosity. Whenever and wherever in history people have ruled in the name of Islam or Sharia, there has been chaos, bloodshed and violation of basic human rights because what we get in the end is not real Islam but politicised Islam. Examples being Khomeini's bloody revolution and Talibanisation of Afghanistan

As for Jinnah's secular views, let's not judge him on that not least because religion is a personal matter between him and Allah.

It's an open fact that Allama Iqbal used to drink alcohol but do we ever hear a word against him so why only pick on Jinnah?

I am a practical muslim and if you ask me, what Jinnah did and achieved in his life (creation of a new state, huqooq al ibaad) far outweighs anything that even the late Maulana Modoodi did (wrote Tafseer, great work indeed, huqooq Allah).
