I hope this posting will lay to rest many doubts regarding the Partition of India.

Your assesment releiving Mr Jinnah of future consequence is not acceptable to history. Indeed Mr Jinnah himself would have disagreed with you Sir. And He did.
I qoute Mr Jinnah from his speech regarding future constitution of Pakistan :
“A division had to take place. On both sides, in Hindustan and Pakistan, there are sections of people who may not agree with it, who may not like it, but in my judgment there was no other solution and I am sure future history will record its verdict in favour of it. And what is more, it will be proved by actual experience as we go on that was the only solution of India’s constitutional problem. Any idea of a United India could never have worked and in my judgment would have led us to terrific disaster. Maybe that view is correct; maybe it is not; that remains to be seen. All the same, in this division it was impossible to avoid the question of minorities being in one Dominion or the other.”
Clearly Mr Jinnah has claimed that "It remains to be seen " putting the criteria for judgement on the future. I think we have seen enough. The destructive results of partition place the verdict of guilt on the creation of Pakistan.
Mr Jinnah was wrong by the criteria he himself described in the words mentioned above. History has shown it. I am sure he would admit it. I think you should do too.
