Not just that. Karachiites predominantly are HIGHLY patriotic. They residents are from all parts of Pakistan. Pakistan was always and still is similar to the middleeast for the people from rest of Pakistan. People come here to find jobs and “rizq”.
Another example of patriotism of Karachiites is the zeal on 14th of August. Anyone can go and look at the streets, nooks and crannies, on 14th August. Except for the divisive politically driven neighborhoods, you will almost always see a fervor and zeal to celebrate Pakistan’s independence.
