I knew this for last few years but obviously the proofs are coming out now. Thousands, not hundreds, of MQM workers have been recruited on paper in the city/province governing institutions like KMC/KDA/water board etc.
Almost every Karachiitte knows it. Now since the cat is out of the bag, time to seal it completely.
And I’m 100% sure if MQM is doing it in Khi, the other parties must be doing the same in their strongholds. And this MUST stop!!

**KARACHI: **A former in-charge of the Karachi Tanzeemi Committee of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Hammad Siddiqui, is apparently a ‘ghost employee’ at a Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) hospital.
Siddiqui, who has been out of the country since May 2013 when his party membership was terminated, was withdrawing Rs40,600 as a 19-grade officer and director at the Rafiqi Shaheed Hospital near Light House.KMC health director Dr Salma Kauser told The Express Tribune that they received reports on ghost employees at the hospital that included Siddiqui’s details. “Siddiqui was a ghost employee and we have informed the authorities.” Out of the 165 employees at the facility, 42 are ghost employees, she said.An MQM spokesperson said that, since Siddiqui was terminated from the party, he was responsible for his own actions. “When he was in Karachi and part of the party, he used to go to work regularly,” said the spokesperson. Re: MQM workers/leaders discovered as the ghost employees..
There are thousands of political employees in government institutions, there was a reason industry was taken over by government in 1970s. There are probably hundreds of thousands of ghost schools all around the country, no body wants to account for ghost employees/schools but the moment you want to remove them from pay-system there will be big halla-gulla claiming discrimination against them.
Re: MQM workers/leaders discovered as the ghost employees..
Industries were nationalized because of socialist agenda of ZAB. On this basis he won the elections in former West Pakistan. Whether this decision was right or wrong is still debatable. Mardood Zia-ul-Haq also continued with the most of nationalized institutions. There was neither concept of ghost employees nor were there any ghost employees in the seventies. Please don’t lie here.
Concept of ghost employees emerged during mardood Zia-ul-Haq government when he conducted party less elections. Junejo’s five point program founded this cancer though he himself was very honest person but the system was based on fraud and lies to make ch Pakistani public.
Since creation of Pakistan certain people who are always in power in civil or in military governments, considered Pakistan as mal-e-ghanimat, baap ki jagir and robbing it was their bloody right. Pakistan should have never been created.
Re: MQM workers/leaders discovered as the ghost employees..
If by your statement means Pakistan shouldn’t have been created..i suggest you re-examine what you said. That is all i am going to say. I get very disappointed by such statements. Yes it’s this MQM’s fault..but NOT Pakistan as a state. And if you didn’t mean this or said it in anger..then..i apologize bro. We all get upset. But the question we should ask is, what are “we” giving back to our country.
Re: MQM workers/leaders discovered as the ghost employees..
I don’t think there was some conspiracy to create “Pakistan” for this reason.
When you have secret service agents gunning down promising leaders in a country, the end result is that the leeches are left behind, and they are allowed to survive. They suck the blood of a country dry.
Problem is not that Pakistan was created. Problem is that the system doesn’t have adequate checks/balances, and it’s overall a disorganized system, so even if there is an intent to serve justice, it takes forever to get it done.
