They were afraid of TTP because they were challenging them in Karachi and MQM had opposed them only because of fear of snatching away Karachi from them and not because of their terrorists activities, as they were themselves big time terrorists. They founded terrorists activities in Karachi not TTP.

Interesting, probably that is why PPP did not initiate any counter-terrorism because it was not really threatened to lose any ‘constituency’ to TTP. Same goes to PMLN then.
