To me it appears that the MQM is back because it had no choice or else it would become irrelvant politically. Whatever one thinks of it's recent political/adminstrative moves the PPP has strengthened it's hold on Sindh (at the cost of the MQM) after bringing back the Commissionarate system and doing away with the Musharraf era gerrymandering of the districts. On top of that the MQM was given no more than a tepid welcome by the PML N as most leaguers wanted Nawaz not to deviate from his principled stance of not having anything much to do with Altaf and company.
I think MQM should not work with PPP Sindh, and demand creation of Karachi province.
It is time to get rid of these wadera-leeches.

For that, MQM first killed few hundreds, Now i believe that it is MQM who created such mayhem in Karachi, they did it to pressurize govt. to take them back and govt did that... although they never wanted them ( for political support in center or in Sindh) but MQM wanted to show that what it can do... so they showed it.. now that governor is back, the agitation in Karachi should cool down provided if that all what MQM wanted....

Zardari outsmarted Altaf and now altaf apna hi thooka chat raha hai. All MQM could do was the usual killings and mayhems of anarchists and kharjis but politically it could not garner support from anyone. Zardari quickly reinstalled commissionerate system, brought Mirza back in media and MQM crumbled to pressure. People were saying it even a few days ago that MQM has little choice but to come back.
