Personally, I think it is a good move, if the intent is what is mentioned in OP i.e. to address Karachi’s problem. But Alas, most of time, MQM remained part of problem than being part of solution. Hopefully, they learned from their mistakes for the sake of good.

Lets see if Target killing, bhatta khori etc comes back or no.

Also it means no more seats for PTI from Karachi which would be the beneficiary if MQM splits
