Re: Mqm-PPP reach deal for senate polls
Anytime when there is even a remote chance of MQM getting into trouble, they run towards govt. Its so proven time after time. The ironic part is that they still get elected in polls..

MQM, PPP reach accord on Senate polls, coalition govt in Sindh - Pakistan - DAWN.COM
KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Pakistan People Party (PPP) have reached an agreement over the formation of a coalition government in Sindh and seat adjustment in the upcoming Senate polls, according to a statement issued on the MQM’s official website.
The accord was the outcome of a three-hour-long meeting between senior PPP leader Rehman Malik and MQM supremo Altaf Hussain in London.
Under the seat adjustment formula agreed upon by both parties, MQM and PPP would get four and seven seats in the Senate respectively.

The parties agreed on a 40-60 power sharing formula in all aspects and the MQM would soon join the treasury benches in the provincial assembly under a written agreement with the PPP.

According to the post meeting announcement, a committee, comprising two members from each side, would be constituted to pursue the reconciliation process and improve the working relationship between the two parties.
During the meeting it was decided that both the parties would make joint efforts for the development of the province and resolution of issues faced by the people.
Rehman Malik, on behalf of PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, assured Altaf Hussain that this time MQM would be provided with its ‘due share’ in all departments under the 40-60 ratio.
Furthermore, a ministerial committee, comprising of members from both parties, would also be constituted for the resolution of issues related to the Sindh government. The announcement further noted that “this time, the agreement will be spelled out in black and white".
Malik and Hussain both also prayed for the eradication of terrorism from the country so it could tread towards the path of development.
The former federal interior minister told the MQM chief that, upon his arrival in Karachi, he would present a detailed report of the meeting to PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari. He added that implementation on the accord would take place after Mr Zardari’s approval.
The MQM had left Sindh’s coalition government in October 2014 in response to alleged statements made against their leader Altaf Hussain by the PPP leadership.
Altaf Hussain regretful over use of harsh language against LEAs
Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain on Tuesday expressed regret over his recent use of harsh language against law enforcement agencies (LEAs), during addresses made to party workers, according to a statement issued on the MQM’s official website.
Mr Hussain’s statement said that the sentiments of certain officials were hurt due to the use of harsh language against LEAs, for which he ‘was regretful’. The statement added that ‘I used to and still respect national institutions and my intention was not to hurt anybody’.
Reacting to the killing of a party worker on Jan 30, the MQM chief had told a private news channel that the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) had never accepted him and accused the country’s premier intelligence agency of implicating him in cases even though no corruption was proved against him.
He also said that he had seen the ‘ISI’s hand supporting the lawyers movement against former president Pervez Musharraf’.
Altaf had also said he held Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah responsible for the murder of 36 party activists.

Altaf Hussain responded to Bilawal’s tweet by saying that PPP would soon loose whole Sindh then, and that Bilawal should bring his father forward, as he is a kid and incapable of understanding local politics. He added that co-chairman PPP Asif Ali Zardari puts his son forward in times when it is difficult for it to say something himself.

Re: MQM, PPP reach accord on Senate polls, coalition govt in Sindh
True face of so called secular and liberal parties of Pakistan (only in Pakistan!). One burns 250 people alive for not paying extortion ans calls women of Pakistan prostitutes for attending political rallies, and the other one embraces them with open arms. Needless to say, both of these criminal parties are dirtiest possible insult to the noble concepts of secularism and liberalism.
In a way I'm glad all this is happening. They're both drying their own natural death. Even die hard PPP supporters have buried their heads in shame.

If Zohra Aapi was forgotten for a Jalsa in Karachi twice , how you can blame the people who have to live with this "Saand" of establishment in this province .
