MQM mafia threatens PPP to remove Sindh Police Officers

So now these police officers, who blamed the MQM for this recent ethnic mess are being labeled as Taliban supporters! :hehe: Their crime i.e. speaking the truth and doing their job! Also why are they so afraid of a door to door weapons check?

MQM demands removal of Sindh IG, CCPO

KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Friday demanded the removal of the Inspector General of Police, Sindh, Babar Khattak and Capital City Police Officer Waseem Ahmed from their offices, accusing them of supporting land and drug mafias and criminals.

This demand was made by members of the MQM Coordination Committee, London, and the Rabita Committee, Karachi, while addressing a news conference at the Karachi Press Club. They said the two police officers be removed from their offices, if the federal and provincial governments wanted to ensure peace in Karachi.

They accused them of providing support to the drug and land mafias as well as criminals in the city. They said a 1993-like operation would not be allowed. The MQM was not afraid of any such operation, they said. The operation could never eliminate the MQM, they added.

Referring to the IG and the CCPO, MQM leader Anwar Alam said that in a meeting on Wednesday, the two police officers misguided the Sindh chief minister. They made an attempt to give the April 29 violence an ethnic colour instead of pointing fingers at land and drug mafias and criminals, he said.

He said the two officers even misguided the prime minister in a meeting held on the law and order situation at the Chief Minister House on Friday. They made no mention of the drug and land mafias as well as criminals, but put all the blame of violence on the MQM.

Alam said the two officers had also suggested door-to-door search for weapons in Karachi. He said the MQM would never allow such a step. If any such step was taken, then the MQM would be compelled to take some drastic measures, he added.
**
Replying to a question, he said the MQM demanded removal of the two police officers and not to carry out door-to-door search to disarm the citizens. He asked as to why these police officers were unable to see the illegal depots of arms and ammunition in Banaras Colony, Sohrab Goth and Super Highway, where there were huge caches of arms and ammunition.**

The committee members said that before addressing a press conference, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani talked to MQM Quaid Altaf Hussain on telephone and assured him of giving a serious thought to the situation.

Responding to a question, Anwar Alam and Anis Kaimkhani said the MQM had not given any ultimatum to the government. When asked was there any hope that President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani would accept the demand of the MQM, the committee members said Zardari would accept their demands as they had supported them through thick and thin.

They said the drug mafia had opened fire from hilltops, killing two MQM workers and injuring law-enforcement agencies personnel. The incident took place in Zarina Colony, North Karachi, they added.

They said to divert attention from this incident, the drug mafia, supported by the Taliban, resorted to firing in various parts of the city. Had the police taken timely action against the criminals, lives would not have been lost, they added.

They said MQM Quaid Altaf Hussain had appealed to his supporters not to get provoked on that. They said the MQM would never allow a search operation for arms in Yousuf Plaza, Federal B Area.

MQM leader Mustafa Azizabadi said before carrying out a search in Karachi, door-to-door search should be conducted in the NWFP, from where illegal arms were being smuggled to Karachi.

Mustafa said at the request of Altaf Hussain, the citizens of Karachi had obtained arms licences. They had the right to safeguard and protect themselves, he added. The committee members asked as to what action had been taken so far against the drug dens in the city.

Anis Kaimkhani asked the Sindh IG and the CCPO that what action they had taken in Lyari. Why they were unable to arrest Rehman Dacoit, he further asked.

They were trying to take action against the innocent citizens, but the MQM would never allow any such act, the committee members said.

MQM leaders Saleem Shehzad, Dr Farooq Sattar, Raza Haroon and Shoaib Bukhari were also present on the occasion. Meanwhile, a large number of the MQM supporters gathered at the Karachi Press Club. They chanted slogans in support of Altaf Hussian and the MQM. Dr Farooq Sattar addressed the charged crowd.

Re: MQM mafia threatens PPP to remove Sindh Police Officers

They want no police at all…so they can do the following openly in karachi

what a use of flyovers!

No wonder the pashtun minority of Karachi was against such flyovers over their residences

Re: MQM mafia threatens PPP to remove Sindh Police Officers

as u can see they are carring mqm flags and shooting at the traffic below

What do you expect? They want full control of the city, hence cry “talibanization”. I personally want all guns/ammo be removed from the civilians but don’t believe it is possible anymore. I’ve seen how they tried to “dis-arm” and conducted house-to-house searches but those areas still had huge ammos AFTER clean-up.

Flyovers over “residences”? Which area is that? As for goons firing and taking cover on briges I’m sure someone will deny these are MQM goons :hehe:

Re: MQM mafia threatens PPP to remove Sindh Police Officers

somewhere in banaras colony i guess....where they wanted to make one of such flyover and then the local pashtuns objected. MQM made a big issue of that and projected that Pashtuns are against progress and flyovers.

Personally , i wouldn't like such a flyover over or near my house.....these mqm killers use it for firing at innocent people living nearby.

Yes , this is not MQM doing the firing…these are the Talibans …Altaf bhai always cried about and now these Talibs have taken control over the bridges. (SARCASM)

We Must learn Judo Karate to defend ourselves against these mqm flag carrying Talibans

Re: MQM mafia threatens PPP to remove Sindh Police Officers

I doubt anyone of you have ever been to karachi. Today areas like sohrab goth are criminals dens for the drug and land mafia. Anyone from karachi will tell that you cannot go into sohrab goth if you don't speak pashtu and how robberies on the super highway have increased.

Shahi syed supari, leader of ANP terror squad in karachi is also a well known drug dealer and as all drug dealers is protecting his business by attacking other ethnicities in karachi. Shame that he is associated with ANP.

Re: MQM mafia threatens PPP to remove Sindh Police Officers

^Again Sohrab Goth? The place of drugs deals, arms and prostitution?
Where during so called operation clean-up Ghous Ali Shah found only one pistol? Sad!

Re: MQM mafia threatens PPP to remove Sindh Police Officers

Will PPP do it? And can they do it alone? Don't they have to consult other partners in Govt. before taking decisions? i.e. changing Police Officers. I think ANP will have a thing or two to say about this....MQM might find itself against the wall on this one...PPP needs the ANP in a good mood to avoid breakup of Govt.

What term you frequently use... borrowed from India... ahhhh, yes... living in denial.

Wasn't this demand justified?
I think the whole city, actually, the whole country should be purged of illegal weapons.

PPP government should never allow these illegal demands of MQM even that artificial coalition breaks up. Federal Government should take strong stand on this and never get usual black mailed by these urban terrorists. sharif aadmi ki zindagi haraam kar di hay in badmashon ne.:(

Re: MQM mafia threatens PPP to remove Sindh Police Officers

^ What do you think about illegal weapons in non-muhajir areas in the city?
Shouldn't they be confiscated too?

My post is aimed at urban terrorists which inlcude persons of any ethinicity killing innocent people. Yes by all means all weapons whether belonging to muhajir areas or non-muhajir areas should be confiscated through house to house search, even if goverment has to spend billions of ruppees on that process which is long long due.

I am born and educated Karachihite and it makes me very sick when I see such kinds of distruction to once a beautiful, peaceful and clean city of Pakistan now ugliest city with full of terrorists and batta khors.:(

Re: MQM mafia threatens PPP to remove Sindh Police Officers

here’s another gem, purely a relic of Musharraf era but still a favorite of MQM

Sindh govt bans Imran’s entry Updated at: 2016 PST, Saturday, May 02, 2009
KARACHI: Sindh government banned on Saturday the entry of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan.

According to sources, Sindh Home department issued a notification banning the entry of Khan for a month.

Sindh Information Minister Shazia Marri had earlier advised Imran to call off his visit due to the enforcement of section-144 in the province.

Sindh govt bans Imran’'s entry - GEO.tv

he should take 'em all to court… so “certain” Pakistani citizens can’t enter Sindh? what gives…this is probably the 4th/5th time he has been barred from entering Sindh specifically port city of Karachi. tsk tsk tsk so much for being “the voice of middle class”…and only “moderate political parties”…blame lies on both PPP and MQM. Both are in power in Sindh.

Re: MQM mafia threatens PPP to remove Sindh Police Officers

Will you also take to court people in karachi who do not allow non pashtu speakers to enter their areas?

Also, anyone know what happened to the grand cases immi was going to bring against MQM?

Prince Abbas, everyone should be searched, MQM terrorists as well as any suspected Pashtuns who might have arms.

Re: MQM mafia threatens PPP to remove Sindh Police Officers

MQM is an ibn ul waqt party. most of their representatives are criminals. its not hard to legally hold them responsible but since hathi kay pair main sab ka pair no politicians wants to dismantle this thuggish group. why? because you get easy votes, sure shot win and control of any area by handing them over money and turning a blind eye and a very deaf ear. MQM is bunch of pests who will utilize any common line to get ahead in their thuggish, maro peeto schemes. it would be good if the weapon control was done but fat chance of that.
whats worse is that to create a rift in society they promote ethnic hatred, so that they can sit comfortable in their holes. they day karachi gets rid of this parasite is the day it will retain some form of peace.

Re: MQM mafia threatens PPP to remove Sindh Police Officers

I think, PPP govt is not removing the two officers, now what will MQM do... resign from the govt and sit on opposition benches'??? can they afford to do that???

Re: MQM mafia threatens PPP to remove Sindh Police Officers

Nothings working for the MQM, Imran’s entry into Sindh has been allowed by the PM after he threatened he would goto the SC :hehe:
