There have been videos of central MQM leaders meeting with takfiri kharijis like Aurangzeb Farooqi. Some of the names were Hammad Siddiqi and Waseem Aftab of the now defunct Coordination Committee.
Also, I know several shia MQM workers who were killed with the help of other MQM workers they already knew.
It is for this reason that for the first time a shia party stood up against MQM in this election.
I think that now shia folks have estranged from MQM. If this thing continues then MQM is going to lose an important traditional vote bank of Urdu speaking people.
Sindhi card or Urdu card. Economy is the priority of a person only after he feels his life is secure. There is nothing holier than one’s own life.
But one important thing. MQM will not lose 100% shia voters. There would always be some folks continuing to be blinded by the talk of unity … until they lose one of their own family member due to the nexus between MQM and ASWJ.
PPP was a popular option for shias before MQM. But now it is generally believed that PPP is no different than any other party.
PTI will definitely benefit from it.
Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) candidate was recently kidnapped from the constituency where it had some pockets of support. MWM blamed MQM for this.
KARACHI: Candidate of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) for NA-253 Asghar Abbas Zaidi was kidnapped along with his guards from Gulshan-e-Iqbal area on Saturday.
According to a statement from spokesman of MWM Nasir Hussain, Zaidi left for his home from Shah Faisal colony along with Sammad Abbas and a guard, when the workers of another political party kidnapped him and other companions.
SHO Irfan Kobra said that after the news of MWM candidate’s kidnapping surfaced, a brawl between workers of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and MWM was reported. The quarrel was later resolved by police and the notorious crowd was peacefully dispersed.
NA-253 is a solidly MQM constituency. MWM had no chance of winning. Yet MQM tried to intimidate them. It looks like Aurangzeb Farooqi of ASWJ controlling MQM.

Paksitan’s liberal political party Mutahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) visited the office of banned terrorist group Ahl-e-Sunnat-Wal-Jamaat (ASWJ, reincarnation of banned terrorist group Sipah-e-Sahaba aka Lashkar-e-Jhangvi LeJ) at Karachi on Saturday, 02 March 2013, Geo News and The Shia Post reported.
The MQM delegation led by Waseem Aftab arrived at the ASWJ Office, Nagan Chowrangi, Karachi, held talks with one of the top Takfiri terrorist Aurangzeb Farooqi.
The MQM Rabita Committee delegation discussed with ASWJ issues of security situation and possible electoral alliance.
Takfiri terrorists of banned ASWJ-LeJ celebrated the visit of MQM delegation which indeed provided ASWJ-LeJ with much needed credibility and legitimacy.
When you support a fascist party thats what happens. Bhai will not allow shias or any sect to share his pie or votes. How dare these MWM zakirs dared to run in elections. They better stop and support bhai or they will have the same fate as bihari qoumi movement.
