Sad news indeed... but tendency is the eventual fall back will be in Pakistan/Karachi in this case. Whatever happens anywhere in the world, eg Danish cartoon, eventually the shops/vehicles are burned in Pakistan...!!!
What I am hearing from Karachi is everything is closed today there. Lets hope at least it's peaceful..

I agree, how many kids he orphaned, how many sons he took from their parents, how many women he widowed. Now his kids, parents and wife will know whats it like to be on the receiving end.

I am not surprised at an MQM being killed, but I am surprised that it happened in LONDON.
I hope British police investigate this murder successfully. Their conclusions will have more weight than by Pakistani police.
Edit: The choice of weapon is also interesting.

Weapon is hardly a surprise, most killings in London are by stabbing, this is true of political killings or assassinations as well.

Sad news indeed.
We have to wait till Scotland-yard finishes their investigations. Although i believe that many of the previous murders of MQM leaders might be an insider's job but its hard to believe that Altaf Bhai is that stupid to order a murder in UK. British police aint no Pakistani police. I have heard too much about UK's CCTV cameras on almost every street corner, I hope they will be able to track the guy down quickly.

I think people who are suspecting that MQM is involved in this murder are forgettng that this is London we are talking about, not Cheechoon Kee Maliyan. London police or UK govt cannot be bought by MQM and it will be a matter of time before detectives can locate the murderer and the motive. Even a no-brainer like Altaf would know that this means the end of his political career as it will take a second for police to arrest him if he is involved in anyways.
